Shaykh Abbas Ali.
biography.
Shaykh Abbās Alī grew up in Alum Rock and, like many of his peers, spent his youth immersed in everyday life until the age of seventeen. It was then that a transformative journey began, as he memorised the Noble Qur’ān and committed himself to the path of sacred knowledge.
He went on to undertake the seven-year Ālimiyyah programme at Dār al-ʿUlūm Dewsbury, where he studied the full spectrum of traditional Islamic sciences. He also mastered the seven Qirā’āt (modes of Qur’ānic recitation) and was granted ijāzāt (formal authorisations) in Fiqh, Ḥadīth, and other core disciplines.
With over a decade of experience as an Imām, Shaykh Abbās has served as a teacher of Tajwīd, Ḥifẓ, Arabic, and adult Qur’ān studies. He is also actively involved in youth work and community outreach
